What we do
CRI, a not for profit organization
CRI’s business strategy as a not for profit organization is simple: we strive to provide educational materials and activities in a model that enables us to reach the largest audience possible and benefit the largest number of critical care patients.
In recent years, we have had a very dynamic period at CRI. Along with our name change and re-branding we have added many new members to our team. CRI was created to help healthcare professionals from diverse disciplines upgrade and refresh their clinical skills in the management of critically ill patients. CRI continues its dedication to promoting best practices in the management of critical illness and securing the highest standard of care for patients everywhere.
The “Acute Critical Events Simulation” (ACES) course was created on the premise that most health care practitioners, while having broad clinical experience, rarely treat critically ill patients. The critically ill require care that is very specific, time sensitive and comprehensive in order to ensure better health outcomes and reduce mortality. ACES was developed to train all levels of health care practitioners to become competent in their skills and decision making ability to ensure the best care possible in critical situations.
The CRI team has also created the “Management of Modern Sepsis” course which educates healthcare providers to help them save lives through the early detection and management of sepsis in seriously ill patients.
Our partnership with the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has resulted in the development and delivery of another successful course. The “Critical Care Response Team” course (CCRT) targets primary responders in critical care, specifically, those who have been selected for, or are interested in functioning as a part of the Critical Care Response Team within their regional centers.
